教授 David Spener received his doctorate in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and joined the 澳门金沙线上赌博官网 faculty in 1997. He is the author of several books,包括 We Shall Not Be Moved/No nos moverán: 传记 of a Song of Struggle (Temple University Press, 2016), Canto de las estrellas: Un homenaje a Víctor Jara (with Moisés Chaparro and José Seves, Ceibo Ediciones, 2013), and Clandestine Crossings: Migrants and Coyotes on the Texas-Mexico 边境 (Cornell University Press, 2009). His latest book is 联合国工业发展组织章, un encuentro americano: Los tiempos y las canciones de Violeta Parra, Woody Guthrie, Víctor Jara y Phil Ochs (2019, Ediciones Radio Universidad de Chile).
In addition to being a member of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Dr. Spener participates actively in the University's Languages Across the 课程 (LAC), Mexico, the Americas, and Spain (MAS) Programs,and First Year Experience programs. He has also taught courses in several Latin American universities,包括 the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City; the Universidad de Guadalajara in the Mexican state of Jalisco; and the Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
